Marilyn Honigman  grew up in Brooklyn, NY. She studied at the New York Studio School and Queens College and received an MFA in painting at Queens College. She lives and works in Queens, New York. Her parents were holocaust survivors and photographs given to her father when he was liberated drew her to the Holocaust as one of the subjects for her art work. Marilyn Honigman has been painting and exhibiting for a quarter of a century. In paintings and drawings she focuses on composition and tonal color to create her images.
